For the mixed method, mix some veg (not too much) with some rice in a separate bowl, and form into balls before coating in seaweed and sesame seeds. Place the rice in a bowl with the sesame oil and mix with a wooden spoon.
Instructions to make Rice flakes balls:
- Take rice flakes into a strainer and wash it really nice 3-4 times with water.
- Soak rice flakes in water for just 1 min.
- Drain water cover rice flakes and set aside for 5 minutes.
- When rice flakes are soaked well then transfer them into a plate and mash with hand.
- When rice flakes are kneaded well then add boiled potato, chopped onion, green chilli, chopped capsicum, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, spinach, chilli powder and salt and mix them really good.
- Make small balls from the mixture.
- Heat up oil on medium heat in a pan. Drop balls in hot oil and fry them from all sides till it gets really nice golden colour.
- Take balls out, drain excess oil and transfer them onto a plate.
- You can have these balls as it is or with tomato sauce or chutney.
For the mixed method, mix some veg (not too much) with some rice in a separate bowl, and form into balls before coating in seaweed and sesame seeds. Place the rice in a bowl with the sesame oil and mix with a wooden spoon. Let it cool for a few minutes. When the rice is warm, it sticks together well. Divide one portion of rice in two.
